Fine water mist nozzle parameters
There are many parameters for water mist nozzles, and each parameter is very important. Usually, if customers want to customize a water mist nozzle, they must provide the main technical parameters or drawings of the nozzle, otherwise the manufacturer will not be able to process and produce it. The parameters of water mist nozzles mainly include working pressure, flow rate or flow coefficient, material, thread size, nozzle type, etc. Closed nozzles usually have an additional technical parameter of glass balls.

1. Water mist nozzle parameters: working pressure
The working pressure of the water mist nozzle refers to the internal water pressure before the nozzle inlet, and the unit is generally expressed in MPa. Water mist nozzles are generally divided into high-pressure water mist nozzles, medium-pressure water mist nozzles and low-pressure water mist nozzles according to their working pressure. The pressure ranges of these three types of water mist nozzles are different.
1. High pressure water mist nozzle pressure: P≧3.5Mpa
2. Medium pressure water mist nozzle pressure: 1.2≦P<3.5Mpa
3. Low-pressure water mist nozzle pressure: P<1.2Mpa

2. Water mist nozzle parameters: flow rate/flow coefficient
The flow rate of a fine water mist nozzle refers to the volume of water flowing out of the nozzle per unit time, which is called the water spray flow rate Q, and the unit is L/h or L/min. The flow coefficient of the nozzle is related to the flow rate and working pressure: Q=K√10P, where P refers to the working pressure of the water mist nozzle MPa, and K refers to the flow coefficient of the water mist nozzle, which is provided by the manufacturer.
The flow rate of a fine water mist nozzle is K coefficient × 10. For example: the flow rate of a nozzle with a K coefficient of 0.5 is 0.5 × 10 = 5L/min; the flow rate of a nozzle with a K coefficient of 1.0 is 1.0 × 10 = 10L/min. Then interpolate from this (nozzle coefficient × 10).
The nominal flow coefficient of the water mist nozzle should be selected from the 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 1.7, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5 series.
3. Water mist nozzle parameters: Material
The material of the water mist nozzle is also very important, because the prices of nozzles using different materials are different. Moreover, water mist nozzles are used in different scenarios and have different material requirements.
Commonly used materials for fine water mist nozzles include: stainless steel, brass, etc.
4. Water mist nozzle parameters: thread size
The connection size at the interface of the water mist nozzle is also one of the important parameters. If the size design is incorrect, the nozzle may not be installed. Usually the interface of water mist nozzles is mostly threaded, so you need to know the thread size.
The commonly used thread sizes of water mist nozzles are: 3 minutes, 4 minutes, 6 minutes, 1 inch, etc. Generally, this size can be customized individually.

5. Water mist nozzle parameters: droplet diameter
The water mist droplets ejected from the fine water mist nozzle and formed on a plane 1m downward from the nozzle axis have a droplet diameter of DV0.50 less than 200μm and a DV0.99 less than 400μm. In other words, on this plane, 99% of the droplets have a diameter of less than 400 μm, and 50% of the droplets have a diameter of less than 200 μm.
According to the size of water particles in the water mist, fine water mist is divided into three levels:
The first level of fine water mist is the left part of the line connecting Dv0.1=100μm and Dv0.9=200μm. These represent the finest water mist.
The second level of fine water mist is the part between the boundary of the first level of fine water mist and the line connecting Dv0.1=200μm and Dv0.9=400μm. This fine water mist can be produced by a high-pressure nozzle, a dual-flow nozzle or a number of impingement nozzles. Due to the presence of larger water particles, level 2 water mist is more likely to produce a larger flow rate than level 1 water mist.
Level 3 water mist is Dv0.9 greater than 400μm, or the part from the right side of the dividing line of Level 2 water mist to Dv0.99=1000μm. This kind of fine water mist is mainly produced by medium pressure, small hole sprinkler heads, various impact nozzles, etc.
6. Water mist nozzle parameters: glass ball temperature and size
The closed water mist nozzle structure contains a glass ball, and the glass ball also has parameters, such as temperature, size, etc. The commonly used closed water mist nozzles have temperatures of 57 degrees and 68 degrees, and the colors are orange and red respectively; the size of the glass ball refers to the diameter of the glass ball, and the most commonly used ones are 2 mm.
7. Customization of fine water mist nozzles
The customization of fine water mist nozzles is mainly based on the parameters of the nozzle, so without parameters, the manufacturer cannot design the drawings, and without the drawings, there is no way to process and produce. Therefore, if customers want to customize water mist nozzles, they need to provide at least the following parameters:
(1) Nozzle (nozzle) structural type, such as appearance size, thread, structure, etc.;
(2) Medium;
(3) Flow coefficient;
(4) Performance requirements, such as droplet diameter, range, spray angle, installation parameters, etc.;
(5) Minimum and maximum working pressure;
(6) Application site and working environment;
(7) Material;
(8) The closed nozzle should also provide glass ball parameters.
The above are the main technical parameters of the water mist nozzle. Of course, in addition to these parameters of the water mist nozzle, there are also range, spray angle, input medium, etc. If it is just for general use, the above main parameters are enough. But when applied to special scenarios, all parameters can be informed to the manufacturer in detail, so that a suitable water mist nozzle can be designed and produced.
